Garba is the easiest Indian dance class to start as a complete beginner: social by design, repetitive on purpose, and taught in a circle instead of rows facing a mirror. I'm not Gujarati, or not Indian. Can I join?
Yes. Garba is Gujarati at its roots and we keep it authentic, but the room spans second-gen Indians, Hindi and Telugu and Tamil speakers, and non-Indian dancers. All are welcome, said plainly.
What if I'm not in Santa Clara?
Come anyway — most of the room doesn't live in Santa Clara either. Dancers drive in from San Jose, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Milpitas and Fremont, and the venue is off a highway on purpose. If you'd rather we came closer, say so on the booking form: enough signups from one area is exactly what unlocks a second location.
Are classes running right now?
