The confirmed Bay Area garba nights this year run Saturday, September 19 through Saturday, October 3, 2026 — five touring-artist shows across San Jose, Sunnyvale and Santa Clara. Navratri itself falls later: Sunday, October 11 through Monday, October 19, with Vijayadashami (Dussehra) on Tuesday, October 20.

That gap is normal and worth knowing about. The big Gujarati playback singers tour North America in the weeks before Navratri, then fly home for the nine nights themselves. So the Bay Area's marquee shows land in late September, and the community ras-garba series fill the October festival window. If you are waiting for October to buy tickets, the artist nights will already be behind you.

Navratri 2026 begins Sunday, October 11 and ends Monday, October 19, with Vijayadashami (Dussehra) on Tuesday, October 20. The Bay Area's ticketed touring-artist nights mostly run ahead of that window, from mid-September, while community ras-garba series fill the nine nights themselves.

Where can I find garba events in the Bay Area?

The confirmed list at the top of this page is the short answer. The broader pattern: arena-scale artist nights land at venues like the Santa Clara Convention Center, and community ras-garba series run in school gyms and community centers across the South Bay and Fremont.

Does Garba Groove run its own events?

No. Everything listed on this page is a community event run by other promoters — we point you to the good ones and don't sell tickets for them. What we run is weekly garba classes in Santa Clara, and those you book directly with us.

Classes are how you become the second kind, and how you show up with a crew instead of alone. Every class is $25, no pack required, right through the run-up to the festival.
