Navratri 2026 runs Sunday, October 11 through Tuesday, October 20. Nine nights of garba and dandiya across the Bay Area, and the difference between watching from the edge and actually dancing is whatever you do between now and then.
The two things worth doing right now
Find the events. Five Bay Area touring-artist nights are already confirmed — Parth Oza, Jigardan Gadhavi, Atul Purohit, Kinjal Dave and Falguni Pathak — and they run September 19 through October 3, ahead of the festival itself. They're on our 2026 events page, with tickets sold by the promoters. Buy early; the big nights sell out.
Get your steps in first. A festival floor is not where you want to learn garba for the first time. Classes run through September, $25 a class, no pack required, and you can book a date right now. This is exactly the stretch to show up in: the circle you build here is who you'll be dancing next to on the festival floor.
